Hanbury Palace

Palazzo Orengo developed around an ancient tower, between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries;in the second half of the nineteenth century, when Thomas Hanbury purchased the property, it was in need of major restructuring.

The renovations carried out by Thomas Hanbury maintained the role of the emerging structure of the villa, increasing its visibility and panoramic views that were already inherent in the predominant position of the building that had, in the past, a defensive and strategic role; the following renovations didn’t modernize it too much, keeping the ancient tower and the mighty walls.
